Mercer County Regional Council of Governments

The Mercer County Regional Council of Governments (MCRCOG) is a collaborative regional organization made up of local municipalities in Mercer County, Pennsylvania that works to help members address shared challenges and administer cooperative services more efficiently than individual governments could alone. It provides a platform for member communities to discuss and coordinate on issues like regional transportation planning and transit programs, joint purchasing and equipment sharing, administration of Uniform Construction Code enforcement, information technology support, and other shared municipal services, helping to pool resources, reduce duplication, and support local government functions. Mercer County Conservation District

The Mercer County Conservation District is a local government entity focused on protecting and improving the county’s natural resources while supporting sustainable land use and rural character. It provides technical assistance, education, and guidance to landowners, farmers, local governments, and developers to help with erosion and sediment control, regulatory compliance, watershed protection, wetlands and stream impact review, and conservation planning. The district also develops and implements environmental education programs, assists with nutrient and manure management planning, and administers permits and best-management practices to deliver conservation resources and support throughout Mercer County.
