N E W B U S I N E S S
1. Hermitage Zoning Text Amendment – Ms.
Holm reviewed this with the Committee. She stated that this request is to add
banks, savings and loan associations and credit unions as permitted uses in the
Institutional Zoning District. Banks are currently permitted in the Central
Commercial CC-1 District. Current permitted uses in the Institutional District
include medical, dental and professional offices, government offices, nursing
homes, hospitals, clubs and lodges. Banks are classified with offices in the
parking requirements and would be required to submit a parking lot plan to
Hermitage as part of any office or Commercial Building/Complex.
William and Thomas McConnell requested this amendment to the
City of Hermitage. They noted that a bank would be more fitting in an
Institutional District than many presently permitted uses. It was stated that
banks have expanded their areas and are now more frequently found in areas,
which are Institutional Districts.
After brief discussion, a motion was made by Mr. Rollinson
and seconded by Mr. Price to recommend approval of the requested text
amendment to add banks, savings and loan associations and credit unions as
permitted uses to the Institutional District in the Hermitage Zoning Ordinance.
This was based upon the determination that such financial institutions would be
comparable with other uses permitted in the district. The motion passed.
2. Modification – Robert G. Minor Subdivision – Worth
Township – Ms. Holm reviewed this with the Committee. She noted that this
request is for a modification to the 4 to 1 lot width to depth ratio. The party
wishes to subdivide property between existing land uses and adjoin the 5-acre
parcel to an existing property 150 feet wide along Millbrook Road.
After brief discussion, a motion was made by Mr. Price and
seconded by Mr. Rollinson to recommend approval of this modification request
to the 4 to 1 lot width to depth ratio requirement based upon the size and
configuration of the land and original lot. The motion passed.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business to conduct, the meeting
adjourned at 8:15 p.m.
Respectfully submitted,
