CALL TO ORDER
Mr. Ron Faull, Chairman, called
the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m., prior to dinner. Attendance was taken at
the door. A quorum was present.
PRAYER AND PLEDGE OF
ALLEGIANCE
Mr. Jerry Johnson led the
Commission in the prayer and Pledge of Allegiance.
MINUTES
OF THE NOVEMBER 27, 2001 MEETING
A motion was made by Mr. Price
and seconded by Mr. Beatty to approve the Minutes of the November 27, 2001
meeting with no additions, corrections, or deletions. The motion passed.
FINANCIAL STATEMENT
A motion was made by Mr. Foster
and seconded by Mr. Paxton to approve the November 2001 Financial Statement as
presented. The motion passed.
ZONING & SUBDIVISION
REVIEW COMMITTEE REPORT
A motion was made by Mr. Price
and seconded by Mr. Scott to approve the Committee’s Report as distributed
to all representatives. (A copy is attached to and made a part of the
permanent record of Minutes.) The motion passed.
2002 MEETING SCHEDULE
A motion was made by Mr. Foster
and seconded by Mr. Hoy to approve the 2002 Meeting Schedule as distributed to
all representatives. (A copy is attached to and made a part of the permanent
record of Minutes.) The motion passed.
ELECTION OF OFFICERS
Mr. Faull reported that the
Nominating Committee in November recommended the following slate of officers
for 2002:
Larry McAdams (Fredonia Borough)
– Chairman
Clifford McCandless (Grove City
Borough) – Vice-Chairman
James Pat White (Hermitage City)
– Secretary
Thomas Stanton (Wheatland
Borough) – Treasurer
Mr. Faull asked for additional
nominations, if any. None were forthcoming. It was properly moved and seconded
to close nominations and cast a unanimous ballot for the officers as
recommended by the Committee. The motion passed.
PROGRAM
Awards – Perfect
Attendance at MCRPC meetings in 2001: Larry McAdams; Patricia McAdams;
Clifford McCandless; Ray Foster; Dave Beatty; Albert Law; Tom Paxton and
Jim Morton.
10 Years Service Award: Frank
Cochran
25 Years Service Award: Russ
Dawes
Friend of the Commission
Award (support and cooperation to MCRPC by an individual or organization):
Mercer County Regional Council of Governments
Recognition – Mr.
Puko briefly thanked all state, county and local government officials for
their cooperation and support of the Commission. He expressed thanks to
all Commission representatives and staff. All stood and were recognized.
Kick-off of 50th
Anniversary celebration – Photo contest display was held and photo
contest awards were presented. Jerry Johnson, Committee Chairman presented
a Calendar of Activities. Also, Morrie Waltz and Larry Reichard gave a
presentation of recollections of MCRPC’s prior years.
ADJOURNMENT
With no further business or
discussion, the meeting adjourned at 9:00 p.m.
