CALL TO ORDER

Mr. Jeff Hoy, Chairman, called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m., prior to dinner. Attendance was taken at the door.

PRAYER AND PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE

Mr. Ron Faull, Vice-Chairman, led the Commission in the prayer and Pledge of Allegiance.

MINUTES & RATIFICATION OF ACTIONS OF 2 PREVIOUS MEETINGS LACKING A QUORUM

A motion was made by Mr. Stanton and seconded by Mr. Scott to approve the Minutes of the November 28, 2000 meeting and the October 24, 2000 meeting and to ratify the actions taken at those 2 previous meetings, which lacked a quorum. The motion passed.

FINANCIAL STATEMENT

A motion was made by Mr. Beatty and seconded by Mr. Paxton to approve the November 2000 Financial Statement as presented. The motion passed.

MCRPC FINAL 2001 BUDGET

A motion was made by Mr. Seamans and seconded by Mr. Shipley to approve the budget for the year 2001. The motion passed.

2001 MEETING SCHEDULE

A motion was made by Dr. Brenner and seconded by Mr. Stanton to approve the 2001 Meeting Schedule as distributed to all representatives. (A copy is attached to and made a part of the permanent record of Minutes. The motion passed.

ELECTION OF OFFICERS

Mr. Hoy reported that the Nominating Committee in November recommended the following slate of officers for 2001:

Ron Faull (Liberty Township) – Chairman

Larry McAdams (Fredonia Borough) – Vice-Chairman

Clifford McCandless (Grove City Borough) – Secretary

James Pat White (Hermitage City) – Treasurer

Mr. Hoy asked for additional nominations, if any. None were forthcoming. A motion was made by Mr. Paxton and seconded by Mr. Beatty to close nominations and cast a unanimous ballot for the officers as nominated by the Committee. The motion passed.

50th ANNIVERSATY COMMITTEE

Mr. Puko announced that in 2002 the Commission would celebrate their 50th anniversary. He noted that we should soon set up a committee to begin making plans for this celebration.

PROGRAM

· Awards – Perfect Attendance at MCRPC meetings in 2000: Larry McAdams, Patricia McAdams, Clifford McCandless, Sam Scott, Dave Beatty, Ron Faull, Albert Law, Jeff Hoy and Brian Shipley.

· 10 Years Service Award: Ray Foster

· 20 Years Service Awards: John Courtney & Paul Mehalko

· 25 Years Employment Award: Evelyn Wike

· Recognition – Mr. Puko thanked all state, county and local government officials for their cooperation and support of the Commission. He expressed thanks to all Commission representatives and staff. All stood and were recognized.

· Guest Speakers – Mr. Jerry S. Walls, Director of Lycoming County Department of Economic Development and Planning Services and Mr. Ronald T. Bailey, Director of Lancaster County Planning Commission both presented slide presentations and spoke on many aspects of planning, economic development, solid waste management, community planning, long-range planning, and transportation planning.

ADJOURNMENT

With no further business or discussion, the meeting adjourned at 9:15 p.m.
