Lakeview Region Comprehensive
Plan
Draft - October, 2007
November 8, 2007
As a part of the current update of the
Mercer County Comprehensive Plan and the corresponding multi-municipal plans
in progress throughout the County, we have reviewed the draft of the Lakeview
Region Comprehensive Plan prepared in 2002 and have updated the plan for
inclusion into the County Comprehensive Plan Update and as a stand-alone
multi-municipal plan for the communities participating. The document
prepared in 2002 was only a draft and never adopted by the municipalities.
The municipalities involved will be moving toward adoption of the revised
plan in early 2008, with a Public Hearing being held on December, 2007.
Municipalities within the Lakeview School District undertook the development
of the Lakeview Region Comprehensive Plan in order to prepare for and aid in
shaping the future of the regional community as envisioned by the residents.
The plan will serve to guide local community and business leaders in making
appropriate decisions that will positively affect future growth and development
while preserving the most valued characteristics of the existing regional community.
Participating
municipalities
include:
| Lake Township |
Sandy Lake Borough |
Jackson Township |
| New Vernon Township |
Stoneboro Borough |
Jackson Center Borough |
| Sandy Lake Township |
Worth Township |
