The Mercer County Regional Planning Commission is holding a special public open house Tuesday, October 1, 2002. Officials and citizens from throughout the county are welcome to visit anytime from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and see what MCRPC is and does. Groups are welcome.

Activities will include:

• Tour the office, meet the staff

• Learn about planning being done in community & economic development, transportation, zoning & subdivision, solid waste management & recycling, and more

• Refreshments

• Special program — Slides of post-WWII Shenango Valley Showings at 12:00, 2:00, 4:00 & 7:00 (MCRPC has a must-see collection of slides, including aerial photos, taken of the Shenango Valley in the 1950s and 1960s)

Directions:

MCRPC is located on the north side of Highland Road in Hermitage between the Hermitage Fire Station and Notre Dame Church. Highland Road intersects PA 18 at a traffic signal by Hickory High School 1/2 mile north of the Shenango Valley Mall and 3 miles south of Shenango Reservoir
